#nowplaying – youtube integration

Over the last few weeks I saw #nowplaying as a trending topic on Twitter all the time.
On Mobypicture we also saw a lot of postings with the same hashtag. I started to investigate this and found out that some iPhone clients can post the song cover art of the song which is actually playing to a tweet.
This is fun, but of course when you’re sharing what you’re listening to, you want to share the song itself. So why not mashup #nowplaying with the actual songs?

Today we’ve added this mashup service to Moby.

It works with Twittelator for now, but we’ll add this for other clients as well.

How can you use it?

Start a song in iPod.

tap compose

tap Media button

tap “Playing Song Info”

Note that the Media Button now has the Album art!!

If you post stuff with the same annotation as Twittelator does also your postings are processed:

(so use the same symbols, then first the song title between quotes and the the artis after the dash)
